Are you looking for a track that has some rich history to it? The Kokoda track located in Papua New Guinea has deep ties to World War II, that highlights the shared history between Australia and Papua New Guinea. In 1942 the Kokoda track was used for moving food, ammunition and wounded soldiers to and from the front line.
The track is 96kms long taking approximately 6-8 days running along rugged and isolated terrain that is only passable by foot. Experience walks through rain forests, river crossings and ascending to a height of 2,490m (8,169 ft) around the peak of Mount Bellamy.
