My third pair of Lowa footwear. Highly recommended.
Trained for 6 months, treating my boots about every 3 months cleaning as per directions from Lowa. I treated my Z8 boots again, a week before I walked the Camino Frances from St Jean Pied de Port to Muxia between April - June 2024, around 1000 km all up including side trips. I was genuinely shocked to see my boots were totally waterproof the entire way - water was still beading off the leather when I got home to Australia. Couldn’t possibly ask for better performance than that. Lowa makes quality equipment !
Functional and comfortable

I sprained my ankle two days before I was to start a five day hike in Tassie. Wore these boots (had barely broken them in) and they were amazing. Despite a swollen and sore ankle these boots were so comfy and supportive and meant I felt confident walking in the sprain. Can recommend!
I bought a pair of these and didn't have time to break them in before a pig hunt in Cape York. Wore them for 7ks in 36deg heat. Didn't think about my feet once. Many deer hunts in Tassie later plus casual wear and they are still the best boots I have ever owned.
I was Issued a pair of Lowa combat boots in 2009 by the Royal Navy and I have been wearing them regularly for the last 15 years, had the sole replaced here in Australia 2 years ago, most comfortable boots I have ever owned.
Bought a pair in 2019 and they have performed flawlessly. From the South Coast track in Tassie to trekking in Northern Europe with loads up to 25kg, these have been the most comfortable and stable boots I’ve ever used.
They are on the heavier side (hard to have a light and supportive boot for heavy loads) and a bit too warm in hot climates, but perfect for the purpose they are designed for.
Best Service boots I’ve owned! Very well balanced, quiet, agile, and comfortable!
